A DAO, or Decentralized Autonomous Organization, is a new kind of entity designed to run without centralized control. Instead of being managed by a CEO or a board, decisions are made collectively by the community using transparent rules built into blockchain technology. DAOs allow groups to collaborate, vote, and manage shared resources securely and fairly — all without needing a traditional management structure.
In Utah, DAOs can now be officially registered under a first-of-its-kind legal framework, combining the benefits of blockchain technology with the protections of recognized state law.
